Set Studio's default transcription language

Riverside uses AI to transcribe your recording. By default, it transcribes conversations in English. For greater accuracy when generating transcriptions, you can indicate the language spoken in your studio.

Before a recording session

  1. Log in to your Riverside account.
  2. In the ☰ menu on the left, hover over the studio, and click the ••• [the three dots].
  3. Choose Settings.
  1. Under Recording, find Language.
  2. Go to Transcription & captions language dropdown menu
  3. Choose the new default language for future recordings.

During a Studio Session

  1. Using a computer, join a studio as the host or as a producer.
  2. At the top of the page, click settings.svg Settings.
  3. In the Settings window, click Recording.
  4. Scroll to the Language section.
  5. Go to Transcription & captions language dropdown menu.
  6. Choose the new default language for future recordings.

The setting applies to future recordings and does not generate new transcriptions for past recordings.
