Riverside is having trouble getting a feed from your mic or camera.
Troubleshooting for:
- 'Browser preventing recording' message in the Studio
- Browser Issue message in the Studio
Suggested Troubleshooting
- Refresh the Riverside Studio browser tab.
- Close as many other programs on your computer as possible, especially any that could be using your camera or microphone.
- Update to the latest version of the Chrome or Edge browser.
- If using Chrome, try using Edge to join the Studio.
If using Edge, try using Chrome. - Restart your computer.
- In Studio settings, choose Standard resolution which requires less processing power on your device.
- Try using a different computer or a mobile device to record.
- If you're using a Mac, use the Riverside MacOS Desktop app.
- Have at least 5 GB of free space on your browser.
- Close and re-open your browser before recording.
- Temporarily turn off any browser extensions, VPNs, or firewalls. (More info)
The Host or Producer can also try to reduce the processing load required to record in the Studio.
