I see the "Browser Issue" message or "Browser Preventing Recording"

Riverside is having trouble getting a feed from your mic or camera.

Troubleshooting for:

  • 'Browser preventing recording' message in the Studio
  • Browser Issue message in the Studio

Suggested Troubleshooting Steps

  • Refresh the Riverside Studio browser tab.
  • Close as many other programs on your computer as possible, especially any that could be using your camera or microphone.
  • Close and reopen your browser.
  • Update to the latest version of the Chrome or Edge browser.
  • If using Chrome, try using Edge to join the Studio.
    If using Edge, try using Chrome.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Try using a different computer or a mobile device to record.

The Host or Producer can also try to reduce the processing load required to record in the Studio.
