The iOS app currently supports Host, Guest, and Audience roles. We hope to add the Producer role shortly!

To get started, you can download the app here. You can find iOS requirements here.

Once installed, you have a few ways to enter a studio based on your the role you wish to join as.

Host

If you are a host, you may open the app and create a new studio, or enter a pre-existing one. This will place you in the host role and allow you to record.

Guest

If you are joining as a guest, you may enter the guest link sent by your host into the app, enter a recent studio, or scan the invite QR code. If you click on the invite link from your email or other app, this will open the iOS app automatically.

Audience

If you are entering as an audience member, you may enter the audience link sent by the host into the app, or scan the invite QR code. If you click on the invite link from your email or other app, this will open the iOS app automatically.

Depending on your role, you may be asked to enter your name and allow the app permission to access your mic and camera. You can also upload an image or take a selfie!

Once done, you may click on Join. This will place you in the studio or audience where you can see and hear the users in the session.

If you are a guest, your host will have full control of the studio. You may however, change the orientation of your device prior to the recording starting.

If you are the host, you will be able to do this as well, with the added benefit of being able to start and stop the recording.

During the recording, you will have the ability to change between your front, or rear facing camera.

Once the recording stops, please leave the app open until your upload status displays as 100%.

If you accidentally close out of the app to soon, don't worry, you can simply open the app again to continue the upload. You can also confirm that the upload has completed by navigating to the Upload Status page.
