How does the Riverside Studio work?
We upload your recording during the call. Please keep the window open until Riverside completes the upload.

Before you join a Studio session, here are some tips for a seamless recording experience:

  1. Use a computer with Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

  2. If you want to use the Riverside app on a mobile device, place it on a steady surface.

  3. Ensure a stable internet connection. You can test it here.

    NOTE:

A wired Ethernet cable is more reliable than WiFi.

As long as you can hear the other participants, you are still connected to the Studio. Your local recording will be higher quality than what you see and hear during the live call.

  4. Wear headphones to prevent echo and increase overall audio quality.

  5. Use an external microphone, if possible. Using the microphone in wired headphones is generally better than your device's built-in mic.

  6. Before recording, check and adjust your microphone's sensitivity.

  7. Close other browser tabs and applications, especially any that use your microphone or camera.

  8. Temporarily turn off any VPNs, browser extensions, content blockers, or firewalls. (More info).

  9. If you plan to share your screen, use a computer and test it before recording.

  10. Important: Leave the Riverside browser window or app open after you finish recording until you see Upload Complete or 100% Uploaded.
